My name is Mabeya Ogato Denis, and I am the founder of Vidonge Bakeries , a small but determined bakery that is helping feed our community while creating employment for young people and women.

What started in March 2024 as a humble initiative has grown into a small business that now employs 11 staff members, most of whom are youth and women who rely on this job to support themselves and their families.

Every day we bake bread, buns, short cakes, and other baked products that are sold in local shops, schools and to households within our community. Our goal has always been simple: to provide fresh, affordable baked food while creating opportunities for young people who need work and mentorship.

Despite our passion and growing demand, our production capacity is very limited. We currently bake using a charcoal oven , knead dough manually by hand , and rely on hired motorbikes for deliveries . These challenges slow down production, increase costs, and prevent us from meeting the full demand from local shops, schools, and families.

Our dream is to transform Vidonge Bakeries into a modern community bakery that can produce more food, employ more people, and operate efficiently.

Through this campaign, we aim to raise $200,000 to help us:

• Purchase an industrial bakery oven

• Acquire a commercial dough mixer

• Improve bakery equipment and workspace

• Purchase a reliable delivery vehicle

• Expand production and create more jobs for youth and women

This investment will allow us to grow from a small manual bakery into a sustainable food enterprise that strengthens local food security and empowers the community.
