My name is Gina. I come from Srebrenica, a small town in North East Bosnia-Herzegovina 🇧🇦. Maybe you have heard about it on TV or in the news.
My town is known for the war among humans. Today, its living conditions are far from good. As a result, a growing family of homeless dogs are voiceless and forgotten.
There is only a handful of humans who feed, vaccinate, neuter/spay them - all for the good end - so that these dogs find their forever homes full of love they deserve to have!
The human bosses of Srebrenica have some bad ideas about how to treat them. It makes it super hard for my humans to keep on fighting for us, dogs, & have to rely only on the help and understanding from the outside.
📯 And so- from my castle in the Netherlands - I decided to help with my very first dog 🐾-to-dog 🐾 lifesaving campaign: Gina for Srebrenica's friends 🐕 📯💘🍀
As you can see in the video, I live as a Queen in The Land of Tulips🌷, where I adopted some nice humans. But before that, I was the Mother of Srebrenica’s Dogs. And I cannot leave them behind stranded. My mission is to save them and find them loving homes as soon as possible 💪 because they are now in the biggest danger ever. That is why I am now urgently asking for your help 🙏!
Against all odds, the dog shelter project in Srebrenica has been a happy story. So many of you, kind people, helped with:
- Donations, which made possible finding over 20 great homes for over 20 🐕s
- Local families and farms adopted 12 dogs and treat them just like abroad!
- With donated food my friends had free meals for a long time (thanks AWA!)
- Amazing human children Muttigrees ambassadors 👧🧒– as the first in Bosnia – did something great:
There is the largest world organization for animals called North Shore Animal League and a program for children developed with Yale University. They teach human children "social and emotional learning". I don't know what it means, but I do know when my Srebrenica dogs are with them they feel cuddly and even walk on the leash!
As you can see, my humans did many great things for us already. But they can’t continue alone now in this silly area of Srebrenica.
They need our help now more than ever!
Please give me your support by making a donation today and sharing my story with your human friends! You are very much welcome to visit as well!
Will you, please, help me, the Mother of Srebrenica Dogs, help my family today?
Thank you 😊! Hvala 💘!

Feel free to contact my humans when you have questions or suggestions.
Important Note:
Green Valley Dogs and people involved in this project have become a target of cyberbullying / cyberviolence. Some local people from the area of Srebrenica are obsessively spreading accusations and personal insults on Social Media. The negative stories they spread are untrue, horrific and very destructive. Unfortunately, the gossip-culture of Srebrenica is extremely harsh and has always weighed on the people who live in the area. For Green Valley Dogs, this is yet another huge obstacle on top of the corrupted system that we are trying to fight as a new no-kill dog shelter and adoption center. We have been struggling with how (or whether) to respond to this online hatred. We do not want to repeat the slander and personal accusations - that is why we have decided not to mention this in the crowdfunding video, and not call out the names - be it of the fake or real Facebook profiles and people who stand behind them who have been doing this to us and the dogs. We merely decided to add this important note, and call all of our supporters - when they encounter Facebook violence - to report these profiles. You can identify them by a very negative language about this project - calling names of the people involved in a slanderous and blaming manner - and often they demonstrate a very obsessive nature and poor ways of expressing in their posts and comments. Please feel free to contact us whenever you have doubts or questions about this.
