Often our students come to us after being discouraged by a rigid education system made with a standard in mind. For many, attempting to fit a mold not shaped for them bars students from the opportunity to learn, leaving them feeling less than.

At The C.O.D.E. Initiative, we believe everyone can learn to code and we are here to teach it in a fun and inclusive way!

At The C.O.D.E. Initiative Foundation, we are committed to making a difference in our students’ education. As we work with under-represented youth, we are first and foremost committed to providing STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) educational opportunities that are inclusive, accessible, and affordable.

We welcome everyone to our coding classes and are especially committed to providing these opportunities to neurodivergent students and any student with diverse learning. With over 18 different programs, each and every one of our workshops are designed to be tailored to each student's strengths, needs, and interests, ensuring everyone receives a learning opportunity specially designed for them. 

As we are, most of our workshops are conducted online, and while coding can be taught in this format, we are unable to teach hands-on topics such as robotics, electronics, and mechanics.  In-person workshops help students find a community, make lasting friendships, and have first-hand experience with programming robots, building computers, and many other amazing learning experiences. 

With your help, we can find a home for our in-person workshops ensuring we are able to bring these experiences to students regularly. It is due to your incredible generosity that we were able to help over 1100 students and build a community of over 1050 volunteers.  With your help, we can fund for home and lesson materials to ensure our students have the best resources possible and every opportunity to learn new skills that are in high demand in today's job market. 

Your generosity allows us to keep doing what we are doing; creating a community where those who have struggled, be it because of discrimination, stigma, or lack of inclusive education, are able to feel valued and heard through an educational experience tailored just for them.
