Dear long term friends and supporters of The Odd Cat Bali,
Dedicated to helping the cats and committed the longevity of
the sanctuary and our cause, we’re in a bit of a pickle right now,
hence this fundrazr…
We’ve moved into our new premise a couple months ago and the
cats are really thriving. It’s a lot to move cats and get them
settled. It was stressful for all, but it was all worth it in the end.
Which is such a relief.
We were so lucky to find this new place at a very cheap price. In the
long term, it will be a lot more sustainable than our previous
location. But it has taken longer than expected to settle and reopen
to the public. And now our new landlord is asking for 2 more years
rent to be paid by the end of May or he will raise the price. We
cannot afford to wait and see what the price will be. We know that by
the end of the year the sanctuary will be financially sustainable to
pay for itself, we just need to buy ourselves a little bit of time to
get back on our feet.
We are so scared that the price is going to be ridiculous as
Bali has reopened to tourism, and all of our efforts to building the
new place may have been for nothing if we can’t afford the new price.
Our current yearly rent is only of IDR14,000,000 which is more than affordable. We need to raise IDR28,000,000 by the end of May to keep this amazing price down. Your support means so much to us and this cause.
