With Compassion & Soul raise funds to build & maintain an Orangutan & Wildlife Rescue Rehabilitation Centre run by The Centre of Orangutan Protection in North East Kalimantan, Indonesian Borneo. 

We have a number of Orangutans who are ready for release this year and have found an area which is suitable for release a few hours drive and 1hr by boat away from our centre. The Ministry of Forestry have lent us an old run down building to use as site 1 of a Release Camp. It badly needs renovation to make it useable for our Release Team. We also need to purchase some equipment & beds, kitchen basics and other basic supplies for our release team. The building needs some repair as it is rough and we need to make it a little less rough. The team is use to living rough and working with little so will make good use of the small amount we raise for them. 

Eventually we will need to make 2 more smaller sites, site 2 & site 3 further into the forest, these will be us to monitor the orangutans we release until the team feel they are ok to go it alone. 

It was only 2 years ago that we started to raise funds and build COP Borneo the centre where our rescued orangutans are. You our supporters have helped us build a great, small rehab centre and now we have a few older orangutans who we have rehabilitated who we need to release this year but first we need to renovate this building (which has been lent to us) which will become our release base camp. 

Now we understand that this is not the type of thing people usually like to donate to as it is not donating for a cute orangutan or a dramatic rescue etc but THIS part of the process is the most important part as we need this release camp to start planning the releases which, ultimately, is the final stage of rehabilitating an orangutan. 

So for site 1 the Orangutan Release Station we are only seeking $3,000 which will cover all we need to renovate this run down building & buy equipment to get it up & running and we need to do this quickly. We hope you will help us to achieve this small amount and continue helping up with our work so we can eventually rescue, rehabiliate & release as many orangutans as we can.  You have helped us with each of the other stages so please keep supporting us now. The best thing about COP Borneo is the People Power which has helped build it, helped rescue the orangutans now living there and hopefully People Power will help our rehabilitated orangutans find their way back home.
