Yoly Ramirez Gulfstream Guardian Angels Rottweiler Rescue coordinator named this poor girl Krystal who was picked up by Miami Animal Services in the Homestead, FL area last night, she was dying. Yoly went to the shelter this morning got her and took her to Mueller Animal Hospital in Hialeah, FL. Dr. Adriana and two of Mueller's Vet Techs immediately started working on her. She was packed packed with fleas and hook worms, surprisingly she is heart worm negative. She could not move or stand up. When she got to Mueller blood work was done, in a healthy dog the Hematocrit blood should be 35, she has 8. She was put on an IV and a blood transfusion was administered right away. She only weighs 48 pounds. She has a huge swollen spot on her neck and a right bad leg with a nasty injury. Dr. Adriana said that Krystal needs to get stable to do any thing else. She got a Capstar to kill her fleas that were sucking her blood and an Ivomec injection for the fecal worms that were sucking her blood. Now, we will pray for her to make it.
