Stone is raising funds to attend the Global Psychedelic Summit leadership retreat this September, where he'll join fellow community leaders from around the world for five days of learning, reflection, and connection.

Why we do this work? 

The Hamilton Conscious Collective is a heart-centered intentional community dedicated to exploring altered states of consciousness, healing, and embodied transformation. We provide inclusive and intentional spaces for medicine journeys, embodiment practices, integration circles, psychedelic harm reduction and peer support training, and community gatherings to support collective healing and spiritual awakening. 

Every day, we see the impact of psychedelic work: people finding their way from addiction to freedom, from depression to purpose, from isolation to belonging.

But we also see the other side of this movement — misinformation, a lack of psychedelic harm reduction education and integration support, self-proclaimed "shamans" operating without accountability, and the real risk of traumatization or abuse. At the same time, large capital and corporations are moving fast into this space, and grassroots, community-rooted work risks being drowned out. You even hear about retreat deaths and their cover-ups. 

This is exactly why the work of building safe, informed, connected underground community matters so much.

Why the Global Psychedelic Summit?

The Global Psychedelic Society is a network of grassroots psychedelic societies from around the world, working to bring visibility and resources to local psychedelic communities and to advocate for the responsible, safe use of psychedelics for personal and collective healing.

This year's GPS Summit 2026 runs September 23–27, 2026 at a retreat space in Portugal. It's an intimate, unconference-style gathering of leaders, organizers, and community builders from psychedelic societies across the world — five days built around lightning talks, working groups, fishbowl conversations, art and music, and simply real, unhurried time together around shared meals and evening fires.

For Stone, and for the Hamilton Conscious Collective, this trip means:

• Networking — building real relationships with the leaders and organizers doing this work in communities across the globe.
• Learning from other leaders — bringing home the community organizing and education practices already working elsewhere.
• Reflection and rest — a rare chance to step outside the intensity of frontline community work and simply recharge.
• A stronger sense of global community — connecting Hamilton to a much larger, worldwide movement working toward the same vision; the encouragement that comes from knowing this work is part of something much bigger than any one city or community.

When the Hamilton chapter is solid, I will collaborate with other leaders to take this community structure to Toronto and other cities in Ontario.
