URGENT: 10-Week-Old Siblings, Eyes Swollen Shut, Shoved Into
Cardboard Box With No Food, Water, Or Protection
It was an
ordinary day when a good Samaritan was driving down the road and
noticed a battered cardboard box tossed in the dirt.
At first, they thought it was just trash—until they pulled over and looked inside. Three tiny, helpless puppies stared back at them, their eyes swollen shut, their faces covered in raw wounds and scabs.
Someone did this. Someone let these innocent babies suffer, neglected them until their tiny bodies couldn’t fight anymore—then dumped them like garbage. How long were they trapped in that box? Hours? Days? Were they crying for help, too weak to escape, too sick to do anything but wait? We will never know. What we do know is that no living creature deserves this.
The puppies—now named Sabrina, Jill, and Kelly—were rushed to the shelter, where we immediately stepped in to save them. But when we finally saw them in person, our hearts shattered.
Their tiny bodies were swollen, bloodied, and scabbed over. They had lost most of their fur and were constantly scratching, whimpering from discomfort. A skin scrape confirmed severe demodex mange, a condition that, while not contagious, is painful and requires urgent treatment. And the worst part? Two of them may lose their eyes. The infection that ravaged their skin has spread to their eyes, and because it was left untreated for so long, we don’t know if we can save their vision.
The worst-off puppy may need stitches once the swelling goes down because of the deep cuts and hanging skin around her fragile face. They are just 10 weeks old. 10 weeks old, and they have already suffered more than most animals do in a lifetime.
Now, we need to fight for them. These girls need urgent medical care, specialized treatment, and a safe place to heal. They deserve a future free from pain and fear. But we can’t give them that without your help. Please, if you can, donate today. Every dollar goes toward lifesaving medical care, pain relief, and the chance for Sabrina, Jill, and Kelly to finally know love.
