What's this all about?
Over the past year, the doof and festival scene has come
under extreme pressure and scrutiny from lawmakers and
authorities all around the country. Many events have had to
cancel as a result, and for those that were able to go ahead,
the result of this added pressure has been hugely inflated
running costs, and large drops in ticket sales.
This year, Psyfari Festival, an event run entirely by
volunteers, with no paid staff, fell victim to this trend, and
for the first time ever, we lost out financially. We went to
huge expenses to keep you, our community, safe and secure, and
to ensure that we complied with the authorities.
The outcome of this was a great looking, great sounding,
fun, friendly and safe event, but it has also placed the Noisy
Chickens in serious financial strife.
Psyfari has never been about money. The entire
crew have donated their time and skills for free year
after year. Any profits made in previous years have
been spent on improving the festival.
So now we are calling on the community for help, to ensure
that we are able to pay the contractors and hire companies who
we rely on to supply equipment and services for Psyfari, and so
that we can continue putting on these events that we love so
much.
Who are the Noisy Chickens?
We're a group of friends, a team mad up of workers,
volunteers, organisers, artists and musicians, who together are
responsible for Psyfari Festival.
We operate more as a community than a traditional business, and
the thing that holds us together is a love for creating events
that provide unique experiences.
How You Can Help Us
We're holding a fundraiser after party, on Saturday the 8th
of October in Sydney. You can contribute by buying a ticket,
donating, or choosing one of the added ‘perks’. You'll be
helping us keep noisy chicken alive, and together we can make it
through the days of the fun-police to once again enjoy music
festivals as they should be.

Central Station, and we're quite excited to be using a space we've not
previously held an event at before!
