Send Love to Louie
Happy Cat Sanctuary has recently rescued Louie from the streets near Gordon Heights on Long Island, New York. Louie is the survivor of an apparent attack that resulted in a deep wound on his head. Our best guess is that he was attacked with a bb or pellet gun or some sort of blunt object like a rock. If left unattended, Louie's wound would have become infected and he would have surely died.
We were able to trap Louie and get him quickly to the animal hospital. We need your help to pay for Louie's emergency vet bills so that he can recover. The first vet visit was $100. Additional visits + antibiotics + vaccines will be another few hundred dollars.
Louie deserves some love and safety after all the evil he has endured. Please give whatever you can to help us cover his vet bills. Your donation is tax deductible.
Louie will stay indefinitely at Happy Cat Sanctuary until he is fully recovered, We will put him up for adoption if we deem him friendly to humans.

Happy Cat is doing extensive Trap-Neuter-Release in Gordon Heights to reduce the feral / kitten population in this area of town, and we are setting up straw-lined feral cat houses to help the kitties keep warm this upcoming winter. We also patrol the area whenever we can to make sure that no outward harm is being done to cats in the area. We have relocated several friendly kittens from the streets to the sanctuary to prepare them for adoption through www.HappyCatSanctuary.org.
