Too many of us who love someone with adrenal insufficiency live with the fear of what would happen if our loved needed help and we were not there to help.  For adults with AI must go through not only that fear, but the fear that the medical community will not understand them.  That their pleas for help will go unanswered. 

SB874 will require that EMS and ER nurses are trained in the signs and symptoms of adrenal insufficiency.  Ambulances will be required to carry medication to treat an adrenal crisis and those with AI will be given priority in the ER.  

SB875 will require school staff who have contact with AI students to be trained in the signs and symptoms of AI.  Once trained staff will be able to inject the life saving injection Solu-Cortef®.  No longer will parents need to worry that the schools will refuse to train or give the injection. 

Funds raised will be used to help pay for gas and parking for those driving to Salem to meet with Senators and House members. On April 1st "Cupcakes for Annie" will be on the steps of the Capital passing out free cupcakes and sharing Annie's story. Information about our bills and adrenal insufficiency will be passed out with the cupcakes. Funds will help purchase these cupcakes.  

Any funds raised that are not needed will be used for other awareness and advocacy work. Every little bit helps.
