Young people in Russia grow up under extreme social pressure, hostility, and restrictive laws. For LGBTQ+ youth, the environment often means isolation, bullying, depression, and even thoughts of suicide. Mental health support is almost inaccessible — many psychologists refuse to work with LGBTQ+ clients due to stigma or legal risks.
This project offers a different path: free online empowerment groups based on Affirmative CBT. In a safe, anonymous environment, young people will learn how to cope with stress, challenge destructive beliefs, build resilience, and connect with others who share their struggles.
The groups are not only about surviving hardship — they are about developing strength for the future. By the end, participants will be able to continue peer-support circles themselves and reach out for crisis consultations when needed.
