Mighty Warriors hasn't added a story.
I have been a TIP volunteer for over a year. In that time, I have witnessed the relief and gratitude loved ones feel as we offer assistance on what may be their darkest day. We bring kindness, resources, and assistance with some immediate needs.
I have asked my family members to form a team and to come out on Saturday, Oct 4th and support TIP Hook and Haul competition. A few of my family are really competitive so it should be a lot of fun.
TIP is a powerfully GREAT organization. I am honored to be a volunteer; believe it is an extremely valuable cause and have gotten to know a kind, loving and giving group of people.
I am asking anyone and everyone to come out and enjoy the day and or please donate to my extremely valuable and helpful non-profit volunteer program called TIP aka Trauma Intervention Program. You can learn more on the website.
Please help me support my team the Mighty Warriors. l appreciate your consideration and any contributions you can provide.
Sincerely,
Patti M
Due to unforeseen circumstances,
the October 4 Hook & Haul event has been canceled. We anticipate
rescheduling in the spring and can’t wait to bring everyone together then.
Thank you for your support and
excitement — we can’t wait to hook and haul you in for the
rescheduled event. Stay tuned for the new date!

PUT YOUR POWER TO THE TEST AT TIP’S FIRST
ANNUAL "HOOK & HAUL" FIRE ENGINE CHALLENGE! 🚒
Bring your friends, family and co-workers and join us for an exceptional day of strength, spirit, and community as Trauma Intervention Program s of San Diego (TIP) hosts the Hook & Haul Fire Engine Challenge (DATE TBA),
This thrilling event invites teams of 8-10 people to pull a fully loaded 33,000-pound fire engine a distance of 100 feet—as fast as they can! It’s a true test of teamwork and tenacity, and it’s open to the public. Gather your team, register on-line, and compete for a great cause. 🏁
Proceeds benefit TIP, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing emotional first aid to individuals in the immediate aftermath of trauma.
Every day, people in our community experience sudden tragedy—car accidents, unexpected deaths, house fires, or other devastating events. In those moments, while first responders handle the emergency, TIP volunteers quietly step in to care for the hearts left hurting.
Meet Maria.* One evening, Maria received the unimaginable news that her teenage son had died in a car accident. While police officers delivered the news, a TIP volunteer sat beside her, offering compassion, comfort, and support. In the hours that followed, that same volunteer stayed with Maria, helping her notify family, make difficult decisions, and take her first steps forward through the pain.
Maria didn’t have to face that night alone—because someone like you helped make TIP’s work possible.
TIP’s specially trained volunteers are on call 24/7 to support survivors of tragedy—helping ease their pain and guiding them toward healing and long-term recovery. With every donation, you help ensure that no one faces trauma alone.
Please give generously. Your support provides comfort when it’s needed most.

Teams are
considered complete at the time of registration, so you cannot join an
existing team. However, you're welcome to create your own team and

I'm a team manager. How can I update my team roster?
If you're a team manager and need to update your roster,
please email us at events@tipsandiego.org. Keep in mind that each

Can I donate without registering a
team?
Absolutely! Visit the main campaign page and click
the orange CONTRIBUTE button. Donations go directly to TIP and are
fully tax-deductible.
What does the registration fee cover?
The
registration fee helps support the Hook & Haul event by providing
each team the opportunity to participate, along with one event t-shirt
per participant. It also helps offset the production costs associated
with organizing and running the event.
Why does it ask if I want to pay more than the $750
registration fee?
FundRazr is a free platform for
nonprofits, and to keep it that way, they ask for optional
contributions to support their services. These additional
contributions are entirely voluntary and can be removed before
completing your payment. Please note that any contribution made to
FundRazr goes directly to them and cannot be refunded by TIP.
Are my donation and registration fee
tax-deductible?
Your registration fee gets your team in
the door and helps us cover the basics—event logistics, t-shirts, and more.
Any donation you make on top of your fee will go straight to helping
survivors of tragedy and training the volunteers who show up when it
matters most.
Only the donation portion is tax-deductible.
Can I get a refund?
Donations may be eligible
for a refund upon request. However, registration fees and associated
costs are non-refundable.
What happens if the event is canceled?
In the
unlikely event of a cancellation, donations may be refunded upon
request. However, registration fees and associated costs are
non-refundable due to commitments with third-party vendors and
processing expenses.
