Please help us help Roscoe! This poor dog is in Vernon, FL and may have a serious infection and can’t even walk now! I fear the infection is in his bloodstream or the paws are necrotic :( Begging for help with funds so when the vet arrives Monday, he can get the care, tests & medicine needed!!!
FROM HIS MOMMY...
“He wont let me touch him, let alone open his leg to view the
sore nor mess with his paws. He is not walking at all now and his toes
are my main concern.
...He has that foot infection going on between his toes. It was all swollen up and red and I started giving him antibiotics a couple weeks ago. Thought it was healing until yesterday...Well it smells like it’s rotting now and he cannot walk. So in looking him over, the inside of his leg where his crease is (groin), is all RAW...and bloody, like the layer of skin is gone. He also has scratches with skin gone. He also has a weird raspy cough. I've been crying all nite. He growls at me if I try to clean or look at it. I been doing everything to try to distract him. My husband can’t help.
I do have a mobile vet coming out Monday
afternoon (Bayview Vet) and asked for an estimate but they cant give
me one till they do whatever. (I have filled out a couple of financial
assistance applications.)
Roscoe is a 6 year old Neopolitan Bullmastiff. He adopted us. He
showed up on our property 2 years ago and never left. After 2 weeks of
showing up we came home and somebody had out duck tape around his
collar saying " My name is Baloo, I'm 4 years old and have had
all my shots and heart worm meds. Please love and take good care of
me. I will always love you Baloo". So we tried to keep his name
but he cowered every time we said it, so we changed his name to Roscoe
and he loved it! You can tell that even tho he was givin his shots and
all he had been abused. We had found out later who the people were
that owned him and that they were involved in dog fights and were
trying to make him mean. After bringing him into our house, we
discovered he had never been in a house or a car. Everything was scary
to him, but now he is an indoor dog. He is shy but very very friendly
and loved people, children and other pets. He is a gentle giant
& sleeps with my daughter.
We were planning on relocating
to PA and had to get an RV so we could bring Roscoe, because he will
not go near a car. He will go in the RV however. My husband was
involved in an accident a few months ago so that postponed our
relocating and he has home medical care 3 times a week and needs 24 hr
care, so I cannot work outside of the house.

...Anything you can give will help!!! They care so
much for their sweet baby, they just have been through so much &
are in a rough spot now :(
