Founded in 2003, Francisco Thiesen Spiritist Asociation is an NGO dedicated to the improvement of Brazil´s youth. As such, we work in the education of children, teenagers and adults, aiming at the formation of good and functional people in our society. We believe in quality education and equal opportunities for anyone who wishes to enter the workforce.

Right now, we are dedicated to the improvement of Brazil´s youth in the city of Sao Carlos.

 As an institution, we are proud to say that our involvement has changed many lives in positive ways in our fourteen years of service.

The Francisco Thiesen Spiritist Asociation oversees three projects:

•         The spiritist school Analia Franco – school dedicated to teach values to children between the ages of 3 and 5. The spiritist school Anália Franco not only provides with care in a cruicial moment of their development, but also helps mothers return to work.According to the Minisrty of Work and employment, women occupy 42.79% of the workforce, leaving many children out of reach from their parents during work hours.

•         The “wings for a future” program – We develop seminars and high school tutoring for teenagers between 15 and 16 years to distance them from idleness, which often leads them into a path of drugs and crime. This program is centered in the idea that teenagers need a way to express themselves and find a personal identity through art and cultural creation. We were to create a safe environment for both teenagers and their families and elderly.

•         The “young apprentice” program – We provide teenagers with the opportunity of obtaining their first job. Offering them education, psychological counseling, assisting in personal and professional development and contributing to awaking their social skills. The student will receive a weekly follow-up at the institution headquarters during their process or recruitment. Since the program began in 2007, more than 500 teenagers have found a job in an administrative area.

As an institution, we know the importance of education in our youth. As demand for these programs grow, we also wish to do so.  

Our goal is set to finish building a dining room for people to enjoy their meals, after that, to begin building. We wish the best for our children and youngsters, and any donation can help a working mother, a troubled teenager or an enthusiast adult to follow their dreams and goals.

Why is this NGO important?

This NGO is dedicated to help and give a chance to improve the life of others by our different programs.

Communities tend to grow, as well as the demand. We wish to do so. We receive food and support from the town hall of Sao Carlos, as well as a small part of the city
