"Hey y’all!
Let me start off by saying I realize things are tough for
everyone right now and we’re all passengers on a struggle bus. Some
days it’s more like a first class seat on Ozzy’s train! I would
never want to take away from others who need help more than I do. If
mental and emotional support is all you can offer, I will absolutely
appreciate that just as much!
Heres my story, it’s kind of long but bare with me, this was hard to do…
If you really know me, you already know how hard this is for me to ask for help. When I get to this point, it’s really bad. I had to start learning how to make it on my own in this world at 15 years old. I’ve worked hard and managed to get by one way or another every since. I’ve always said I don’t believe in taking a dollar you didn’t atleast attempt to earn first.
Ive worked hard ever since I was old enough to have a job and when I had my daughter, I started my own business so I could work from home and stay with her too. My business was pretty successful. I own a house, I bought a brand new 2021 car that was paid off within a few months and life was great.
In February 2022, I had Covid with double pneumonia for the second time. I had a lot of complications afterwards. I developed asthma and lost 80% of my hearing. It all just went downhill from there.
By September 2022, I hadn’t regained any hearing and my ENT referred me to a specialist to see about surgery.
By this point, all of this is starting to get to me. Quality of life is decreasing by the day. I became a hermit. I started losing confidence, not wanting to be social because it’s hard to hold a conversation when you can’t hear very well and had fear of people getting annoyed with me asking them to repeat themselves multiple times.
By December 2022, I’m on anti depression medication because of all of this. I’ve closed my business down because my mental health took a hit and I couldn’t keep up, the realization that there may come a day when I will never hear my daughters voice or laugh again… I couldn’t handle it.
You don’t realize how precious your hearing is until it’s gone.
Fast forward to today…
I managed to get by financially until recently. My specialist is 4 hours away, he was the closest to me btw. The trips back and forth, the medical bills, all while trying to stay on top of normal monthly bills, it got out of hand. I was turned down for a job because they were worried I’d need too much time off with doctor appointments and then surgery.
So here I am, asking for mental support and/or financial help to help get through the next couple of months. I am having ear drum reconstructive surgery on July 27 and I was told the recovery time is roughly 3 weeks. So I am keeping the faith and fully believing after this surgery, life will go back to normal and I can get back to my business! I just need a little extra help to get through without ending up homeless and I wish I was joking. I realize it’s no one’s responsibility but my own to pay my bills, I’ve just gotten to where I’m at a loss. I’ve gone through my savings and maxed out my “emergency only” credit card.
I really and truly appreciate any and all support, even if it’s just mental and emotional support! I could never thank you enough! I am truly grateful for the friends I’ve made on Youtube who became family and have stuck by me no matter what!
