American Bulldog Rescue hasn't added a story.
We. Are. Desperate. Yep. That sums it up! We really need your help. And we are not above begging.
While the daily demand for our help is never ending and while we are in a very dire financial position, when we were asked to help these three girls (of course all in the same week!) who are in such desperate need we could not turn our backs on them.
Let us tell you a little about each beauty!
Frenchie is a six year old Mastiff with a heart of gold. It is apparent from her condition that Frenchie has not been blessed with an easy or loving life. Her “owners” called animal control to pick her up when she was unable to walk. Imagine that they could not even be bothered to take her to the shelter let alone a vet for care. Doesn’t sound like nice, does it? In addition to her leg issue Poor Frenchie has a terrible, clearly neglected open sore on her tail. Frenchie has had a proper medical evaluation, received pain medication and antibiotics and now patiently waits for ABR to get the funds to have her ACL repaired! Frenchie deserves to be able to walk pain free again!
Sweet Rosie is a nine month old beauty who was surrendered because she was unable to hold her bladder. After extensive evaluation ABR got to the source of the problem, Rosie has not one but two Ectopic Ureters! The good news is we can get Rosie fixed and on to a normal life. Bad news….you guessed it! Rosie needs surgery! And it’s not a cheap one! But we think our sweet girl deserves a chance a life, don’t you?
We saved out worst for last. Julissa, a very young, gentle mastiff, is a stray from New York City Animal Control. Julissa has clearly been suffering for some time. This poor soul has generalized Demodectic mange, skin infections and open sores. Can you imagine just letting her suffer in such a way? We can’t either so without hesitation we agreed to help her. Julissa’s condition is very treatable with antibiotics, frequent medicated baths, and other oral medications. With your help we can show Julissa what it is like to know the love and devotion she so clearly has been craving.
The definition of compassion is sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others. So we at ABR are begging for you to show compassion to these poor dogs who are patiently waiting to receive the care they need. Please, any amount will bring us closer to our goal of being able to show these deserving dogs the compassion their lives have so desperately been lacking.
Please rest assured that we at American Bulldog Rescue are a not for profit corporation and every penny we raise goes directly to a dog in need. We have NO administrative costs or salaries to pay. Our volunteers donate their time to these dogs because we truly believe that together with your support we can make a difference. So please, donate whatever you can.
