Live Love Animal Rescue believes in helping citizens who don't turn a blind eye to an animal in need. We believe in nurturing that caring spirit within our community. Venus (also called JOY!) was found wandering the neighborhood by some Good Samaritans while walking their dogs. She is severely malnourished, dehydrated and seemed quite disoriented out in the heat.
These folks took her in and began to feed her and show her some love. We are currently working on finding her a foster home and scheduling her vet appointment for blood work and other needed tests that will better determine her medical condition. Upon initial exam it was noted that she is only 25lbs- for her breed she should be at least 40lbs. THIS GALIS 15+ POUNDS UNDER WEIGHT :'(. Also noted by the veterinarian, she recently had puppies and was likely used for breeding her whole life.
Shameful that someone profited off of her puppies for years and let her live in such deplorable health. She has shown such lovely disposition with all people and pets she has interacted with- truly a joyful special pup. Our goal is to get Venus to her healthy weight and provide her with the best nutrition and veterinary care so she may find her forever loving home with an adoptive family. Please find it in your heart to contribute to her care. It's time she learns that not all humans are neglectful.
