Hi, I'm Tristan Kalos. I'm currently a Life Scout and the Assistant Senior Patrol Leader of Troop 151, Hugo, Minnesota. To become an Eagle Scout, I need to complete an Eagle Scout Service Project (you can see the guidelines below, if you're interested). For my project, I have chosen to build a study area around a tree at White Bear Lake Central Middle School.

I've already planned the project, and my proposal was recently approved by our local District/Council. The estimated cost is about $6000 (for materials and equipment rental fees, etc.). All labor will be donated by local Scouts, Scouters, friends and family.

Eagle Scout Requirement #5:

While a Life Scout, plan, develop, and give leadership to others in a service project helpful to any religious institution, any school, or your community. (The project must benefit an organization other than Boy Scouting.) The project plan must be approved by the organization benefiting from the effort, your Scoutmaster and troop committee, and the council or district before you start. You must use the Eagle Scout Leadership Service Project Workbook, BSA publication No. 512-927, in meeting this requirement.
