The Kamloops Rugby Club (KRC) is looking to build a new community clubhouse at their newly developed location, the Tournament Capital Ranch. With more than 45 years of history the KRC are looking for financial support to help build this new facility suitable for community use and enable it to build future progams.
The previous KRC fields were developed in 1991 where the KRC played their first games that year. KRC members built the previous clubhouse in 1992 for the Canada Summer Games which were held in 1993. The Kamloops Rugby Club lost their home in June of 2012 which was used by many groups in the city such as minor footballl, volleyball, youth soccer, to hold weddings, meetings and other events.
The KRC is now located at the newly constructed Tournament Capital Ranch, in Rayleigh. This location will have many visitors throughout the year. Not only is the ranch home to the Kamloops Rugby Club and its' two IRB approved rugby pitches, but it also includes eight slo-pitch fields (two lit for night play), parking for 350 vehicles, parking for rv's, room for camping, the future home of the Kamloops Exhibition Association (KXA) , washroom/plaza building, and soon the new rugby clubhouse. Once the new clubhouse is constructed it will be the ideal location to host an event. The location is a short 12 min drive to the city center, and will play host to many games, tournaments, and exhibitions every year, for not only rugby, but many other sports and events, ensuring that many people will see and use the facilities.
