I wanted to personally extend a special thank you for being involved in the Dead Sea Cave Archaeology Project. I made my goal and will be off to dig in Qumran very soon. As you know, the dig expenses are extensive reaching some $75,000 for the general budget. I have put the detailed budget up on the members only section of my website for those who have donated. I recently talked with Dr. Price who is co-directing the excavation. He informed me that the project is $20,000 shy of reaching the necessary funding needed. The Israeli Antiquity Authority has added some additional expenses to the excavation that we did not expect such as having to build scaffolding in the cave as we work, insurance costs etc. $10,000 of this is needed in the next 10 days to meet the basic expenses. The other half may be paid sometime after the excavation is over in January 2017. I’m asking that you present this need to your church family, ministry or business that is interested in donating to biblical archaeology and this project specifically. Any funding that is donated for the operating budget is tax-deductible to the World of the Bible Ministries.
