Kennedy is a proud contestant in the 2019 Jabberwock Cotillion. The 2018-2019 Jabberwock theme is Rising Stars: Smart, Talented, Ambitious, Resilient, Second-to-None. Hosted by the Prince George’s County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., in partnership with the Prince George’s County Delta Alumnae Foundation, the Cotillion will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2019. Kennedy is committed to raising money for scholarships to help deserving students further their education. All funds raised will go to the Delta Alumnae Foundation.
The Prince George's County Delta Alumnae Foundation Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1996 to support and promote health, educational and financial literacy programs that improve the quality of life for Prince George's County residents. The Foundation affords the community with an exciting opportunity to provide tax-deductible contributions and donations for the continuous development and expansion of community-based public service programs in Prince George's County. These efforts encompass the long-standing initiatives in partnership with the members of PGCAC, include annual tours of Historically Black Colleges and Universities; a Biennial Jabberwock Cotillion for girls ages 8 to 18; an annual Scholarship Fashion Show Benefit Luncheon, a Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention Summit, and an Education Matters Summit for high school students. The Foundation operates the Delta Cultural Center, which is open to the community and located at 7719 Finns Lane in Lanham, Maryland.
