Two of the greatest joys of camp come from being outside and spending time with friends. Camp Magruder has a dream that will bring both, and you can make it happen.
The Borgny Corbett Patio at Edwards Lodge is a beautiful space, looking out over the Shore Pines and some of Camp Magruder's iconic lodges. It is a great place to relax and connect with friends--as long as it's sunny and warm. We have dreams to make it a place people will gather even when it's rainy and chilly.
Imagine a clear roof over the patio and string lights in the rafters. Picture comfy Adirondack chairs that make you want to sit awhile and enjoy the ocean air. Envision an outdoor fireplace people can draw close to on cool evenings for those memorable late night conversations.
For Giving Tuesday, our goal of $2,500 will get us closer to transforming the Corbett Patio to a festive gathering place that draws people from all over camp. A $75 gift will cover the cost of a patio chair, but any donation adds opportunities to be outdoors with friends and feel the spirit of joy and comfort.
