Good day,

My name is Christine. I am 47 years old. I am the Mother of a 28 year old, beautiful, delightful daughter. I have always been a "cat lady", until last year when unexpectedly lost my last, oldest, & dearest best friend. I have not had the heart to adopt since. I'm afraid of feeling the heartache again if something unexpected took them away. It's been a struggle, to say the least.

I was always a hard working lady. I raised my daughter on my own with little, to no support. I made a few bad decisions as a teen & became a Mother very early on. However, I picked myself up & dedicated myself to raising her well. I found a career I was good at, bought a home, & put forth my best efforts. I didn't have much closeness with family for support. It was lonely & very hard at times, but my love for my daughter kept me going.

16 years ago, I started having health problems. After many months with different doctors, & specialists, I was finally diagnosed with an Autoimmune disease. I kept it under control the best I could with the direction of my doctors. As a progressive disease, however, it git worse & worse.

Now, as an almost middle-aged, never married woman, alone & struggling, I have hit the most difficult of times. It's become more & more difficult to work, keep up house, have a social life, & just overall poor well being. 

I've never been one to ask for help or hand outs. I admit I have an issue with pride. It's very difficult to show weakness, or what feels like weakness inside. Not being in control, or losing my ability to independently take care of myself,  & others. 

I'm struggling with depression.  I feel I need to be able to help my daughter more in life, when I have needed to turn to her for support. 

Without rambling further...this is my story in a nutshell. I do need help. I have tried to humble myself enough to ask for the help. 

I'm in need of more than a little, less than a lot. & more than enough that, without help, my situation may snowball. 

If the Lord has sent you in my direction & you can only offer prayers, I respectfully thank you for thinking of me & giving it to God. If you have the means to donate without putting yourself in a bad way, I can only give you my greatest thanks, probably tears, & let you know how grateful I am & blessed to know you were loving enough to do so.
