First Generation College Bound has celebrated 25 years of success in Prince George's County. To help us celebrate, we are asking all FGCB college graduates (and their friends and families) to help us reach our goal of raising $12,500...

Dear Alumni,

Since creating First Generation College Bound in 1990, I have been blessed with the support and encouragement of my wife Pat to have witnessed the results of my vision. It has been exciting over the past 24 years to not only see more than 2,000 students attend college but to also see more than 500 of you graduate college. As of today, almost 600 FGCB students are currently enrolled in college. To sustain success of the FGCB mission, I am requesting your support in the Alumni Fundraising Challenge Campaign. The goal of the campaign is to challenge Alumni, with the support of your family and friends, to raise funds for the continued mission of the organization. The funds will help provide on-going needed encouragement for our students to attend college and graduate. This year, the goal for the campaign is to raise a minimum of $2,500 for a group Alumni sponsorship for the 25th Annual Celebration Program being held in June and a total of $12,500 by the end of the year. FGCB Alumni giving will demonstrate a financial commitment to the organization with government agencies, private businesses, and individual donors. I am challenging each Alumni to give a minimum of $25 or more and to also challenge your families and friends to give to achieve our financial goal for 2015. If you wish to pay by check, please make it out to FGCB and mail to FGCB at 8101 Sandy Spring Road, Suite 230, Laurel, Maryland 20707.

Sincerely,

Joe Fisher
