Coming to Nanaimo October 13: We're excited to announce an all-new event with two amazing BC women. Registered nurse Amy Hamm and women's advocate Alia Pierini discuss how gender identity politics is harming women and children and restricting freedom of expression here in BC. Your questions and comments are welcome at the Q & A.
Hosted by #WomenSpeakOut, a grassroots Vancouver Island group committed to changing the conversation about women’s rights. We are not keeping quiet while gender ideology turns our sex-based rights and freedoms upside-down. We are testifying for ourselves and for others who can’t speak publicly.
We are committed to holding space for free and open discussions about women's rights, children's safety, and gender identity politics. The community’s questions and concerns deserve to be heard and answered. It's time to support those who have been cancelled and harassed for their beliefs. Please contact us with any questions.
Those who speak up for the safety of women and children are HEROES. But when we organize events like these, we face angry cancel-culture warriors trying to shut us down. They attempt to intimidate us with physical and sexual threats. They slander and harass us. Their abuse is inexcusable.
Discussion is not a crime. We're standing up for our fundamental rights to free expression and freedom of belief.
Become a supporter by bearing witness, sharing this page, making a contribution, and joining the discussion. We are all volunteers. Our only funding comes from tickets and fundraising. We have no paid staff and no grants from governments and foundations. In order to keep the ticket cost low, we’re asking the community to help cover the hundreds of dollars in extra expenses we’re forced to pay for event security, marshals and insurance. Your support is crucial.
Our non-profit organization is open and accountable for funds raised. Any additional donations over and above the goal will be held in trust for future events.
Everyone who believes women and girls have the right to privacy, dignity, and our own spaces should join this event. Everyone who recognizes that lesbians, gay men, and gender non-conforming children are vulnerable under the new gender agenda should contribute to this fundraiser. Those who are curious and want to learn more are welcome to join in, ask questions, and be part of the discussion.
Let’s kick off a new movement for men, women, and children, right here on Vancouver Island.
Thank you for being part of the solution!

See all activity5About Amy Hamm
Amy Hamm is a registered nurse in the Vancouver area who spoke up publicly in favour of women’s rights, biological sex, and author JK Rowling. For this, the BC nurses’ association is subjecting her to a years-long “investigation” of her opinions. In 2022, the nurses' association began hearings aimed at stripping Hamm of her nursing license and ending her career. The disciplinary hearings, which are still ongoing, stem from two complaints from random individuals not related to her impeccable work and professional standards.
According to the National Post, “Hamm’s crime is that she believes biological sex is real, that men are men and women are women. Hamm believes that you should respect transgendered people but that women should be allowed safe spaces in areas like washrooms, changing rooms, and prisons. And for that she is being persecuted. Hamm believes that the Charter of Rights and Freedoms ‘guarantees everyone the freedom of conscience and religion; thought, belief, opinion, and expression.’ And her case may decide whether those words have any meaning.”
JK Rowling. creator of Harry Potter, was denounced by trans activists for publicly supporting a UK woman fired for her opinion that biological sex is real, and for Rowling's public statements about women’s rights.
Hamm is co-founder of the Canadian Alliance for Women’s Sex-Based Rights. She writes for the New West Times, her own Substack blog, and social media. She is represented in the hearings by the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedom.
About Alia Pierini
Alia Pierini is the organizer of half a dozen cross-country rallies to Keep Prisons Single-Sex. An advocate for women in prison with Strength in Sisterhood and previously with the Canadian Association of Elizabeth Fry Societies, she's now standing up against gender identity policies that harm women. Authorities have transferred hundreds of criminals from men’s prisons to women’s prisons, based only on the prisoners declaring themselves to be female.
Every women’s prison in Canada now houses male prisoners, including rapists and pedophiles, in cells with vulnerable women. A survey of these transferees shows almost half of them are sex offenders. Correctional Service Canada reports that many began to identify as female only after landing in jail. Getting transferred to a women’s prison offers predators easier time inside and access to female victims. Calling out the cruelty of incarcerating women with sex offenders, Pierini is reaching thousands of people across Canada every time she speaks.
