Shadow, our sweetheart was recently diagnosed with an enlarged spleen (splenomegaly). We first began to notice something was wrong as he was constantly vomiting. That got us worried and we couldn’t figure out what the issue was. We thought maybe it was something he had ate. Eventually, he began to have issues with diarrhea as well. We brought him in to get check and through blood tests we discovered he had an infection. An ultrasound was then done and we found out he has an enlarge spleen. Apparently this condition is common among older dogs (Shadow has been with us for 9 years now). We were suggested through his doctor that he goes under to have his spleen removed. Trusting that he will be in good hands, we have a set schedule to have Shadow’s operation on January 12th. The entire procedure would be a complete cost of $2000 to $2500. We are looking to fund $1000 to help with the surgery.

We are really hoping that everything goes well with the surgery and that he handle’s the procedure in best way possible. He has has always been our quiet one (we have two labs), but we know he is a brave and tough guy.

Any help towards Shadow’s operation would be greatly appreciated. Please also help us pray for success in Shadow’s surgery and a quick recovery.
