In existence for over 22 years, the B.C. Aboriginal Network on Disability Society or BCANDS is an award winning, provincial, not-for profit, Aboriginal disability and health organization and the only stand-alone organization of its type in Canada.

Have you ever been out with your buddies or with your co-workers or been at home with your kids and their friends and the conversation about the day eventually, and inevitably, turns towards your online abilities and your experiences with PayPal?

We know too well the awkward silence that follows, the blank stares at the floor as you unsuccessfully try to change the subject to global warming or if the Loch Ness Monster really exists, that lump that builds in your throat and finally that cold sweat that runs down your spine as you realize your coolness factor will be forever diminished once your dark secret becomes known ……………….. You’ve never used PayPal.

We can help.

Through your online donation to our Society (or mail in donation, we’ll tell everyone it came through PayPal) not only will you no longer have to rely on your story of once being successful in programing your VCR to record Hogan’s Heroes, as an illustration of your computer savvy, you will become a partner in making positive differences in the lives of many, through your support of our provincial health and disability programs and services.

Now in existence for over 22 years, the British Columbia Aboriginal Network on Disability Society or BCANDS is an award winning, provincial, not-for profit, charitable, Aboriginal disability and health organization and the only stand-alone organization of its type within Canada. Registered Charity # 896694098 RR0001.

Our mission is “Supporting the unique and comprehensive disability, health and resource needs of Aboriginal persons and organizations across British Columba, through relevant, timely and accessible client services”.

BCANDS disability services are available to any Aboriginal person living with a disability, including their family, within British Columbia, regardless of age, location, disability type or related disability need. The Society’s health resource information, and support services are available to British Columbia’s over 200 First Nation communities.

To assist us in continuing to meet our mission and address the significant increase in requests for our services, from both individuals living with a disability and communities across British Columbia, BCANDS, for the first time in 22 years, is requesting the generosity and consideration of individuals and organizations, such as you, for support.

Your donation will help BCANDS to assist Aboriginal children, youth and adults living with a disability, their families and First Nation communities in accessing necessary health and disability information, services and support.

Now we don`t know how long this whole ``internet`` thing is going to last but we do remember a time when everyone said unicorns would be around forever, so as you can see, time is of the essence!!  To ensure your place in a part of something big, your place in making a difference in the lives of many and to be able to tell your PayPal adventure to family and friends, we hope you will consider an donation to BCANDS today!

Thank you for your time and hopefully your support!
