Gaurav Bains is a 2 year old boy, who urgently needed a bone marrow transplant.
This is Gaurav’s story. I’m telling it in the hope that it will help more people realise the critical shortage of bone marrow donors (less than four per cent) in not only the Asian, but all non-white ethnic communities in the UK and encourage them to step forward and donate to help non-white blood cancer sufferers.
Over the last 6 months Gaurav and his family have spent most of their time including Christmas Day at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. At the most critical time of Gaurav's life BCH played a very important role.
After hearing Gaurav's Story it made realise that I take the simplest things for granted and I now feel it's my turn to give back

So for my 18th Birthday I'm going to donate as much stuff as I can to Birmingham Children's Hospital. But I need YOUR help to make every single one of those children SMILE!
