Over the past 3 years, we have saved the lives of many cats and dogs. We have paid for transport out of pocket and have had very little help with any of the vetting. We first adopted 2 doxies from a high kill shelter. One of the doxies turned out to be heart worm positive. So we took him to the vet and it cost us $600 for treatment. Our vet does not get a lot of heart worm patients so he does not keep the medication on hand since it goes bad in a month. So it has to be ordered in and only comes in a 4 pack. So we have to pay for the entire pack. We got the doxie treated, then our girl Oreo broke her back leg. Of course it could not be a clean break and cost over $700 to heal her. She no longer got her leg healed and broke the same leg again. This time she needed a steel rod in her leg. Another $500 was spent. We have a wonderful vet that lets us run a tab for emergency visits. But the emergencies just keep coming.

Then we adopted 2 little chihuahua's out of a shelter that only had hours left to live. Of course one turned out to have a broken pelvis and tail, the other was another heart worm patient. We took care of both of them and now they are happy and healthy. We brought in 3 little chihuahua's and the all need spayed and neutered, one had very bad teeth and cost $400 to neuter and dental. Now we have a little blind chug that is diabetic and very emaciated, also blind. So he is going to need lots of vetting to fix him up. And last but not least. there is a mother chihuahua coming very soon that is about to have pups. We now owe our vet $1600 and climbing. We need help so we can help these little needy souls and give them a good life here with us.

I am also a breast cancer patient. Thus I am not working and waiting for SSI and hope it goes through. I do with out a lot of things in order to help the little dogs that would otherwise be killed and gone. I need help so I can continue to help these little ones. I have just spent $300 on transport for the little blind chug out of pocket and have been paying on this vet bill every month on top of paying out of pocket for non emergency visits such as spaying and neutering.
