On March 7th, 2012 David had surgery to remove a lump on the right side of his throat. During the surgery the lump was found to be a lymph node effected with cancer. It became a 5 1/2 hour surgery and his salivary glands and lymph nodes were removed from the right side of his face as precautionary measure. Even though David was a non smoker or non drinker, he had throat cancer and a tumor was later found in the right tonsil area. The tumor was a little smaller then a dime. David went through 33 sessions of radiation to remove the tumor and is now recovering from the effects of the radiation. Hopefully this has taken care of the cancer.

As you can see, in the past 12 years David has faced a lot of financial challenges. He has spent all of his savings (life insurance, 401K, etc) and with the help of his family members, friends, coworkers, church and even strangers the Ovalles have been able to stay in front of the financial wave. Now that David is dealing with throat cancer he has no financial reserves and needs major help. There will be a "Concert for David Ovalle", Friday, December 21st at the Montebeollo High School auditorium. I'm asking you to help support this event in anyway you can.

Thank You
