Help Razvan get better!
- Hello! This is Razvan. I am 31 years old and i'm from
Romania.
My journey with this disease started in 2019 when I've been pulled into an emergency surgery after being unable to eat for a couple of months, without much knowledge about the problem the doctors went in and removed a part of the small bowel that blocked the transit, after a couple of weeks we were back where we started with a blocked transit which led to the second surgery that left me with an ileostomy bag. After these surgeries complications followed which were partially resolved for a while. In august 2022 things got bad again, and after struggling with pain and many visits to the hospital without any getting better, feeding exclusively through the vein in january 2024 I went through the 3rd surgery. What doctors found was shocking 2 meters of small bowel were trashed and if they waited any longer I would have been dead soon.
Now with aproximately 2.5 meters of small bowel removed, weighing 33 kilograms, without supplements I cant gain weight and live a normal life.
After 4 years, many inconclusive investigations doctors gave me a diagnosis, Crohns disease. They started me on a biological treatment that turns off the immune system.
Right now the Stelara treatment seems to be working, im weighing 39 kilograms now and I cant gain weight without protein supplements which cost around 1000 euros a month. I have to take vitamin and iron supplements also because I also developed a short bowel syndrome, my wife and my family did everything for me but our resources are running very low, unfortunately without these supplements I cant live a normal life so thats why I am here asking for your help. I will be forever grateful for your kindness.
