Raina was bought off of Craigslist when she was posted sitting, weighted down by a heavy chain. At 4 months old, Raina had already known so much abuse but little did we know the extent of the abuse she endured until we bought her.
The shocking photo, chained to a bed with no where to move was just the beginning. Her "owners" stomped her, stomped her so hard that they shattered both of her hips. This poor baby was forced to endure this unspeakable pain with no vet care for some time. Enough time for massive scar tissue to start to form around the bones.
Even though surgery was tough for Dr. K she was able to remove the broken bone shards and scar tissue so she could remove the head of the femoral bone. Raina made it through surgery great, she healed incredibly and her rehab/strengthening has gone amazing. She is now strong enough on the right leg to support having her left hip fixed.
This is a HUGE ask on a very tight timeframe but Raina needs our help. She is going in on August 29th for her left hip repair...if the funds are raised. Please consider helping Raina finally be able to walk pain free. She is just a puppy and deserves to live her days doing crazy puppy things and running around like a nut without any pain.
