Helen Anderson hasn't added a story.
At the end of July 2018 we were alerted to five kittens in a desperate state living behind a supermarket in Ayia Napa. They were emaciated and tourists were feeding them but had to leave. The kittens, having been born on the streets, were very wary of humans and were difficult to catch. The one in most need of help, a ginger kitten, was caught first after a few days and rushed to the vet. He was on a drip and it was touch and go but he pulled through. His black and tabby sibling were then caught and taken to the vet. All three have recovered. On August 13th after a considerable time trying to catch the remaining two tabby kittens, success! The final two were treated at the vet. All five kittens are doing well. We have found fosters for three but still need to pay for boarding at the vets until they have had their vaccinations. In early September we rescued another kitten who needed to have an eye removed as it was infected, she is recovering at the vet. We need your help to pay for the vet bills, which even after negotiating a discount for stray kittens and with some of the emergency care being covered by the municipality, are mounting up as we still have to pay for vaccinations, boarding and non urgent care (deworm, deflea etc).
