Paul Simons hasn't added a story.
Paul Z. Simons, aka El Errante, is an anarchist journalist, writer, and militant who has been traveling the world for the past five years describing to English language audiences his interactions with fighters and militants. In October of 2015 he was in Rojava and his Dispatches from Rojava, are recognized as the first pieces of journalism from a non main-stream source to be published. The Rojava Dispatches have been translated and published in numerous other languages including Portuguese, French, Spanish, and Polish. In 2017 Paul Z. Simons spent a total of four months living in a squat in in Exarcheia, Athens, and the articles that he produced while living there are considered classics in describing the lives, struggles and working of that remarkable neighborhood and its denizens. In addition he has filed dispatches from the ZAD, from Nantes, from Sao Paulo, from Santiago, and from the USA and Canada.
Simons is now living in Asuncion, Paraguay conducting research into the Archives of Terror, a massive compendium of official documents that describe Operation Condor a continent wide system of abduction, torture and disappearance instituted by the dictatorships in Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile, Bolivia, Brazil and Argentina. He has thus far produced two articles from the archive, one introduces how it was found and how it is organized and the other illustrates the life and disappearance of three anarchists Inzuarralde, Scott, and Nell--unknown to the majority of English speaking anarchists.
On or about February 19, 2018 Paul Z. Simons computer died an ignoble death. While he has a budget for travel and survival the loss of his computer is a disaster. He is therefore asking that his friends and comrades, worldwide, donate $1,000 to help him purchase another computer to help him continue this important work in Paraguay, and to continue to report back on the fight for freedom globally.
Please give generously if you can, your donations ensure that on the ground reporting from a trusted anarchist source is maintained and strengthened--so we don't have to read between the lines of the crap journalism from CNN, Fox or the New York Times.
Paul thanks everyone who has supported him in the past and those who will in future. His commitment is to continue this journalism project and the theory it produces for the rest of his life. Keep our anarchist journalists working, help El Errante get a new computer!
