First off a little background into CCK Armory...

I grew up with exceptional teachers and mentors in my Father and Great Grandfather. These two men shaped everything about who I am today and most important, the way I enjoy the outdoors. I was introduced to the great outdoors and shooting sports at a very young age and the first order of business was safety and being able to use what nature supplies to us as a means of living. Everything on the Homestead I grew up on was passed down, done by hand and learned by watching. All aspects of life and ways of living were passed down from one generation to the next. We built barns, raised animals, harvested the land and hunted for food. By the time I was 10 years old, I had more knowledge of these concepts than many people I knew who came from the era's of which these lessons and skills were born.

At the age of 13, my Great Grandfather passed his last lesson and Homestead to my father and I to keep alive. This now consists of 35 acres of original Homestead land, 2 old International tractors and a vast wealth of knowledge that cannot be read about in any bound book. We still harvest and hunt the natural resources and get our hands dirty when it comes time to fell a tree to keep warm in the winter.

My daughters will know these lessons and way of life as first instinct as they get older, but I would like to be able to extend my knowledge of life and outdoor sports on for generations even outside of my family. My rhyme and reason will be explained in this "Story".

CCK Armory's Goals

Over the past 3 years, because of a recently sustained back injury and the desire for society to enjoy the outdoors along with shooting sports and personal protection, this hobby has become my way of life and sole source of income & support for my family (with a new addition on the way as well). I have become a "go-to guy" in my "neck-of-the-woods" for information on the outdoors and all aspects of shooting sports. From where I started 3 years ago, with the support of a good friend and a few family members, this hobby has gone from something that I enjoyed to do in between an outside job and family obligations, to realizing my potential in this field is only limited by the few resources I have available. I am here to ask for help in realizing my dream of teaching and helping other hunter's and outdoorsmen in my community so that these lessons do not fall into some History book that future generations only read about in school. I believe our society has an obligation to our children and our children's children to pass along any and all knowledge from previous generations that we want to stick around when we are gone.

When the resources are available, I intend to offer a full retail store front with full access to qualified instructors to teach beginners all the way to the most seasoned outdoorsman, in a classroom and in the field. These instructional courses will focus on safety in the outdoors and shooting sports. Classes that will be offered will be hosted at the retail site and also a separate field site (depending on the restrictions of the course of study). These will range from Hunter's Safety Courses all the way to the most Advanced Survival & Shooting tactics. I also plan to offer a full indoor/outdoor range that can be used to hone newly learned or long-known skills. If all goes according to plan, or even close to the plan, the above description will just be the beginning of what CCK Armory will have to offer.

I am well aware that this kind of venture does not happen over night and that it will take many hours, days and weeks of planning to go into full effect with long-term benefits, but every idea has to start somewhere. I have poured my time and resources into this dream for the past year just to keep these ideas floating and do not want to see all my sacrifices amount to nothing more than a few words explaining what I wish could have happened. I know these subjects as I know myself and I just can’t let go to waste what should be shared with others who already enjoy, or will someday enjoy, the passions I have been founded on.
