Popeye was rescued from a home that used him as a breeding dog and left him tied to a tree in a backyard. With the help of surgery he will have the ability to see again. Please join us on our mission to give him the gift of sight. Thank you. More ...
Adopt Me Rescue is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit dog rescue located in Studio City, California. Our mission is to help dogs who are in danger of being put down in Los Angeles High Kill Animal Shelters. These dogs include dogs of all ages and we occasionally rescue dogs with special needs. Many of our rescues are dogs that nobody wants because of their age, breed, and personality. One of the dogs we currently have is Popeye, a 6 year old Shih Tzu mix who was rescued, along with the mother of his puppies, by a volunteer who was about to put him in the shelter because they felt he had no more use to them. He and the mother were tied to a tree in a backyard and only kept the puppies. The mother was adopted shortly after she was rescued leaving Popeye behind and who is currently looking for his forever home. It was discovered shortly afterwards at the vet that Popeye had cataracts that could most likely be removed with surgery allowing Popeye to see again. Please help us reach our goal for $4,000 to help Popeye regain his vision. Not only will it will also help a dog who had lived his first 6 years in a terrible situation who was not loved and who was neglected, but it will also help improve his chances of finding him his perfect person. All donations are tax deductible and will go directly for Popeye's medical expenses for his surgery. This includes consultations with an Eye Specialist, medications, and the surgery itself. So join us now to make a difference in one dog's life so we can give him the gift of sight.
