We are making this page to help Sheena and Matt for their dog. Here is their story:
Zeppelin is a 1 year old Golden Reteriver/German Shepard mix that we rescued from ABC Animal Shelter. He has a dislocated knee and needs TPLO surgery , which is knee replacement.
When we visited the shelter, Zeppelin was in a cage all alone because he had worms and was seperated from his litter of 6. We instantly fell in love with him and had to take him home with us. He is such an active dog that loves to run and play all day. Zeppelin and our other rescues love to sleep in our bed. However, one day he started to limp when we took him to the vet they told that he needed complete knee replacement surgery.
The surgery costs $4000 my husband and I got approved for carecredit, but it was only for $2800. We have been to several vets to make payment arrangements, but none of the vets would work with us unless we have the money up front. Zeppelin can no longer walk, he drags his back legs and is in so much pain on a daily basis. Zeppelin can no longer climb the stairs and sleeps by himself. We have even tried to get loans, however havent been appreved. Zeppelin deseves a fantastic life and we can't stand to see the once active dog, not running anymore but rather dragging his back legs.
Thank you for taking the time to read Zeppelin's story.
