Hi, my name is Sarah Cooke; I’m 18 and have lived in South Brent for almost 11 years. I’m originally from Durban in South Africa.
I recently finished 6th form at Ivybridge Community College and decided to take a gap year before starting my university course at Plymouth College of Art. I’ve been given the chance to go back to Kwazulu-Natal in South Africa in March 2013 through an charity organisationcalled African Impact. This trip will not be any old holiday,I will be undertaking volunteer work, in short, helping orphans and raising awareness within the community of St. Lucia about HIV and AIDS.

However, this volunteer work does come at a price and I am required to raise the sum of £850 in order to secure this position. This does not include my airfares, which my parents have agreed to pay. I am therefore seeking sponsorship/donations towards meeting the cost.
