I'm currently volunteering in Kenya in a pediatric cancer ward. The kids don't have very much in terms of school supplies and toys, and what they do have is in poor condition. I'd like to buy them some new things, but need a bit of financial help doing so. Here are a few examples of things I would like to get them: folders to keep their schoolwork (the ones they have are folded pieces of paper that are torn and falling apart), pens, pencils, and erasers (there are almost 30 kids, and very few of these), markers and paper for them to draw with, hats (it gets chilly in the ward), a new set of checkers (the board they have is being held together with tape), and pillows (the couches they have are worn down and hard, and they get quite tired from their treatment). If you could donate a few dollars, I would be insanely grateful, and it would mean a lot in the lives of these kids.
