For almost 20 years, Christian has been an attorney handling a broad range of issues. It is the breadth and depth of Christian's career experiences, both legal and elsewhere, that qualifies him to sit as a Judge.
From his early law school days of clerking for the late Honorable Anthony J. DeFino, Christian was afforded an opportunity to learn a great deal with respect to criminal matters from not only such an incomparable Judge, but also from the numerous great prosecutors and defense attorneys appearing before the him.
Christian started his career as an associate at Dilworth Paxson LLP. His primary practice areas gave him extensive experience with a wide variety of business matters as well as real estate issues, including substantial practice in the areas of zoning and land use.
Christian later spent a couple years working for the PA Senate Democratic Appropriations Committee and then several more years spearheading the tremendously successful redevelopment and revitalization of East Passyunk Avenue, one of the City’s most vibrant Neighborhood Commercial Corridors and surrounding residential community.
Throughout his career, Christian has also been deeply involved in numerous civic and social advocacy groups, including serving on the Board of Victim/Witness Services of South Philadelphia for almost a decade.
Christian has a distinguished record of service as an entrusted Hearing Committee Member on the Disciplinary Board of the PA Supreme Court for six years, serving to help maintain the integrity of the legal profession and to safeguard the reputation of the Court by regulating attorney conduct and discipline.
Additionally, as a member of the Philadelphia Tax Review Board, Christian has fairly adjudicated hundreds of taxpayer appeals from assessments, taxes, charges, fees, fines or bills imposed by the City of Philadelphia against its residents and small business owners.
For the last ten years, Christian has been running his own specialized firm representing clients facing financial ruin. As a personal bankruptcy attorney, Christian has helped hundreds of clients save their homes from foreclosure and keep their dignity. He understands economic hardships are generally a result of events outside of anyone’s control and has dedicated his practice to helping people recover from being laid-off, losing one’s spouse through death or divorce, and from unanticipated expenses resulting from medical emergencies.
