Pine Ridge reservation in South Dakota is home to the Lakota Sioux. It is also the poorest place in America. 80% unemployment, high infant mortality rate.

Poor nutrition as a result of living below poverty level has made diseases such as Diabetes, Heart Problems and High Blood Pressure all too common on the reservation.

Youth suicides on the reservation are a sad and startling 3-5 times higher than anywhere else in the US. The high school drop-out rate is equally alarming at 75%.

Lakota youth are artistic, energetic and passionate people who want to carry the traditions of their people into the future. They need help and encouragement to do this. Your generous donations will buy things such as basketball and baseball equipment and gym equipment, school supplies and cultural enrichment items for the schools and safe houses on Pine Ridge.

These youth are the future of their people. Please search your heart and help these precious kids find hope for their future.

Wakanyeja is a Lakota word that means sacred beings, children. The children are sacred.

Pilamaya - Thank You.
