IRC maintains biodiversity at a regional level in part by offering access to botanical knowledge through Natives for Your Neighborhood and our databases. These resources are free to use, they are not free to provide. Help us meet our goal of $20,000! More ...

IRC is dedicated to maintaining biodiversity at a regional level.   As part of this effort we provide access to knowledge and information about native plants through our databases and the program Natives for Your Neighborhood.  Even though we offer these services for free they are not free to offer!

Maintaining the databases and continually making improvements and updates requires time in the field, staff expertise in plant identification and ecology, staff time to make additions and edits to the databases, not to mention the cost of hosting the website and storing the data.  All told, to simply maintain Natives for Your Neighborhood and the floristic databases costs more than $20,000 a year and much more to make the types of improvements and expansions which would further IRC's mission and improve what we provide to the public.

Combined, Natives for Your Neighborhood and the floristic databases receive thousands of visits each and every week.  Our users range from plant and gardening enthusiasts to researchers and scientists both locally and around the globe.  Clearly these resources are valuable and valued but we currently have no major funders.  To maintain these excellent resources we need donations from our users.

We need a donation from you.

Please consider including IRC in your end of year giving and make your tax deductible donation today. Help us reach our goal of $20,000 to support these resources for 2014.
