Typhoon Haiyan have taken several thousand lives and the damage to society is devastating.
In a joint effort, veterans are coordinating a crisis response operation. Veterans from Norway, Making Change and Team Rubicon (US) have departed to the most affected places, most importantly Tacloban. Making Change Norway is currently working to deploy even more specialists in the rescue operation. Making Change have named it Operation Haiyan.
The rest of the Making Change crew are supporting the operation with whatever they can. Such as securing sponsorship, communication systems, medical equipment, volunteers, logistics and handle planning and current operations. We do need access to equipment and if you can assist please send an email to post@makingchange.no

The norwegian veterans deployed were hand-selected based on medical and search&rescue certifications. The mission is to facilitate search and rescue efforts and provide medical assistance together with a full-scale field hospital in Tacloban, together with Team Rubicon members. The field hospital can handle up to 100 patients at a time and will be managed by Mammoth Medical Missions, who’s standing up a surgical team of 17. Conduct search and rescue operations in the area of Tabolcan. As a team, the veterans will also lead locals in stabilization work in order to save lives, the environment and valuables.
