Delta Christian Drama Association hasn't added a story.
Delta Christian Drama Association needs help with production costs for our upcoming Christmas show. On December 7, 8, 14 and 15, the curtains will open on another originally scripted stage play by DCDA.
"Morning's First Beam" will take you back to 1773 in pre-revolutionary Philadelphia for an epic tale of love, liberty and shoe leather. Germinated from Leo Tolstoy's tale of Martin the Cobbler but set in an American colonial context, you will witness the reenactment of some of the events that birthed our nation while finding yourself gripped by the personal trials and victories of Quaker shoemaker, Daniel Martin, as he and his family are caught between patriotism and loyalty to the Crown.
Since this period piece is a new genre for DCDA, we have very few existing costumes and props that will work for this era. Outfitting a cast of 15 to 20 with 18th century costumes as well as providing an authentic set is going to run production costs higher than some of our past shows. Would you prayerfully consider donating a gift of any amount to help bring this exciting show to Delta Junction?

From Oliver Pluff & Co. comes a taste of America's heritage. This carefully researched black tea is a blend of pekoe, orange pekoe and souchong (lightly smoked). Bohea was the most popular tea among the colonial Americans. In the Boston Tea Party, 1586 chests of Bohea were destroyed. Everyone who donates at least 5 dollars toward DCDA's production costs of Morning's First Beam, and leaves their mailing address will receive one single serving packet of loose Bohea.

From Oliver Pluff & Co. comes a taste of America's heritage. A favorite among men, Lapsang's flavor is strong and smoky, meant to complement the natural taste of black tea without overpowering. Commonly imported to colonial America, 35 chests of Souchong were destroyed during the Boston Tea party. Everyone who donates at least 10 dollars toward DCDA's production costs of Morning's First Beam, and leaves their mailing address will receive an appreciation gift of one single serving packet of loose Lapsang Souchong, in addition to a packet of Bohea.

From Oliver Pluff & Co. comes a taste of America's heritage. This light and sweet green tea is full-bodied with warm, plum-like tones. It is spring-like in flavor. Young Hyson (picked in the spring) is considered a higher quality tea than Hyson (picked after the rains). Young Hyson was highly prized by colonial Americans and taxes on Hyson were higher than for other teas. During the Boston Tea Party there were 70 chests of Hyson destroyed. Everyone who donates at least 15 dollars toward DCDA's production costs of Morning's First Beam, and leaves their mailing address will receive an appreciation gift of one single serving packet of loose Young Hyson, plus a packet of Lapsang Souchong, and a packet of Bohea.
