Hi, As most of you already know, I am a type 2 diabetic. On October 1st my Insurance provider changed their pharmaceutical company from MedCo to OptumRx. This made a HUGE difference in price for my insulin. My copay went from $60 to $300+ for each of my insulins and from $2 to $20 for the pill I take. At the rate of each dose I go through each prescription in 28 days. With out insulin, my glucose (sugar) goes uncontrolled because I don't produce enough insulin, without the pill (Metformin) my body can't use the what little insulin I do procude because it doesn't know how. I'm working on trying to see if there is any way around this but in the meantime I still need my medication. Any little bit counts.
