It's been a long journey for Rosie. Last year she suffered a spinal contusion from which she eventually partially recovered. A new illness took hold on June 27 and we discovered a cancerous tumor. This is the story of her final journey.
Last year, Rosie suffered a spinal contusion that left her paralyzed for three months. She eventually recovered with limited mobility in her back legs. On June 27 of this year, upon waking up, we discovered that she wasn't using her front right leg and was evidently in pain. After x-rays, drug treatment, and vet visits it is determined that she should see a canine neurologist in Nashville. Since she already has limited mobility in her back legs she is almost unable to walk at all without assistance. The outcome of her visit to the neurologist is to hopefully determine the cause of her front leg lameness and begin treatment. In the month since her lameness began she has suffered muscle atrophy in her legs and head due to inactivity. If she continues to be inactive it could lead to her early demise.

We currently live check to check and have no savings. We are asking our friends and loved ones to contribute whatever they can to help us with Rosie's upcoming medical bills. She is scheduled for her first visit on July 31 which is an initial cost of $140. Her subsequent MRIs, X-Rays, and possible surgery will be in the range of $2,500-3,500. Any amount you could contribute will be used only for Rosie and her care. We appreciate your attention to this issue and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
