When you pull dogs from a shelter, you're expecting things like possible kennel cough. However, the large transport that we just did (16 dogs) has left us with 2, possibly 3 (depending on how his cough goes) that need medical attention that we were not expecting. Our black lab may be looking at another surgery to fix her spay. She has a hole bigger than the size of a pinhead and not only is it leaking things, it also has what looks like internal sutures coming out through it. She also has a pretty large ball to the side of her incision, a bit smaller than a baseball. Since it is not a typical spay surgery (since she was fixed while in the shelter) it's going to be a good sized bill at a normal vet. Dakota, our pitbull, has something going on reproductively. She is spayed, however is very swollen and it doesn't look good. The rescue mission cost us $500 in pull fees and gas, and has DRAINED us. (Literally, we have $28 in our account.) We are in GREAT need of help. We obviously are not recooping any costs from that huge rescue mission, and are running into much more issues than planned. If you can give even a dollar, that will help out. We're stressed to the max, and don't know what else to do! Please share as much as you can... We have no idea what we are going to do.
