The youth from the Oso Oro Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints are doing a Memorial Day Flags fundraiser to help pay for their summer camps. 80 youth, ages 11 to 18, will be participating in a project that is part fundraiser and part service project. 

Service Project

On May 18, the Oso Oro Ward Youth Group will assist in cleaning the gravesites in a local cemetery. This service is to beautify the entire cemetery in preparation for Memorial Day and the visits that will take place that day.

Fundraiser

In addition, the youth will be placing hundreds of American Flags along the drive throughout the cemetery to honor those laid down their life in defending this country. 

Summer Camps

The fundraising aspect of this project is to help defray some of the cost associated with the camps the youth will be participating in this summer. The camps will be filled with fun, outdoor recreation, and faith building activities.
