IZZY IS A SPECIAL NEEDS KITTY, (SEE HIS STORY BELOW) WHO NEEDS IMMEDIATE SURGERY TO REMOVE A TUMOR IN HIS MOUTH WHICH IS PROHIBITING HIM FROM EATING.
We noticed Izzy was losing weight and we took him to the vet. Upon examination, a tumor was found in Izzy's mouth !
Izzy will require the surgical removal of the tumor, testing and potentially, treatment. If he receives this surgery, he will be able to eat and ultimately, live. This surgery for Izzy will be approximately $500.
Izzy is a Bengal Tabby mix male - appx 3 years
We call him 'The Sheriff'. He walks around like he's checking out the joint... like John Wayne...
Also call him "The Cartoon Cat". He makes funny faces and often tilts his head in wonderment, just like a dog. He's a great cat and will be the first to greet you at the door.
As most rescues, he had an unfortunate start to his life. He was picked him up from under a dumpster when he was about 4 or 5 months, skinny and malnourished.In addition to being malnourished, we knew something else wasn't right.
He would walk in circles, bump into things and often 'get lost' just walking a couple of feet away.He couldn't jump up and down without getting hurt - but jumping down was really dangerous because he would roll onto his head.
Izzy had a little guardian angel kitty named Roo. Roo wrestled with Izzy and helped strengthen him physically and emotionally. Roo taught him how to jump up and down...without hitting his head!!! Izzy gained the confidence he needed to live as a normal cat with adorable little quirks!
He's extremely smart and loves the company of people - and Roo!
Izzy would love a forever home. He has been through a lot.
We would love to put him in a home after the surgery.
